Nathan Wong

My name is Nathan, and I am a 17-year-old student currently studying at German Swiss International School in Hong Kong.
During primary school and the first half of middle school, I was very interested in visual art. I spent many hours creating my own artwork and trying to recreate famous paintings. However, as I started to take science classes in middle school, I discovered science's beauty and began to see science as its own form of art; I found the precision of biological systems to be so precise and elegant, very much like artwork. Ever since this realization, I've been on a mission to hopefully use science as my paintbrush to make a meaningful impact on other people's lives.
Beyond academics, I am a very sporty person. Since I first jumped into the pool and started swimming at four years old, I fell in love with the sport, and I have spent a lot of my after-school time in the pool. I enjoy challenging myself through physical activity and I hope to one day become an Olympic swimmer, making sport a very important part of my life.
Additionally, I love to travel and meet new people, and I enjoy cooking at home, experimenting with different cuisines and recipes, often creating my own dishes through an unconventional blend of ingredients from various cuisines.
